Civil rights icon James Meredith hosted

ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new museum dedicated to his life and religious studies. The James Meredith Museum and Bible Society Headquarters will stand at 217 W. Griffith Street. DDG provided visioning studies and probable cost estimate for what Meredith considers to be his greatest mission from God.

Check out the interior of Hinds Community College's H.H. Davis building completed nearly a year ago. Durrell Design Group renovated this 8,000 square foot two-story facility providing additional classrooms, training labs and offices.

ASU enlisted the services of our team to provide interior upgrades to the agricultural building, now known as the Morris-Boykin Building. This renovation serves as phase one of the complete renovation plan for the facility.

 

 

Hinds Community College recently unanimously selected Mr. Greg L. Durrell to serve a three year term for the Foundation Board of Directors. Durrell exclaims that it is indeed a great honor to serve Hinds.

The national magazine, Building Design + Construction (BD+C) selects DDG Principal, Greg L. Durrell, AIA, as part of the 2018 40 under 40 Class. With submittals from all around the country, Durrell was chosen as one of the 40 rising stars that are making an impact in business, philanthropy, and in their communities.

 

Jackson State University Vice President and Director of Athletics Ashley Robinson announced phase one of the university’s comprehensive athletics facilities upgrades and improvements.

Phase one of the upgrades includes the Lee E. Williams Athletics & Assembly Center, the JSU Practice Pavilion, and outdoor track that is adjacent to the Walter Payton Health & Recreation Center.

The Lighthouse project consisted of planning and repurposing a nearly 10,000 sqft facility for the City Light Church of Vicksburg. The existing structure will be reimagined to house a multi-purpose fellowship space, classrooms and administrative support spaces.

The 2018 Jackson Public School Bond Initiative includes improvements and renovations to a plethora of schools in the district. Phase 1 of Jim Hill High School includes planning and design for a new entrance, gym floor replacement, and various site improvements.

 

The Vicksburg Campus of Hinds Community College is set to open the new George-Oakes Building for Fall classes. DDG was retained to design one of the premiere centers for career-technical development in the region.

 

Durrell Design Group is growing to serve you! We are delighted to have gained two new team members: Tyaira Wilson and Jocelyn Topp. Congrats to these ladies for bringing a healthy boost of energy and enthusiasm to our dynamic team.

 

DDG was selected by the Hinds County Board of Supervisors for Pre-planning services for a new Public Works Facility. We hope our planning efforts assist the County with appropriate information for their planning needs.

 

 

Durrell Design Group had the amazing opportunity to provide planning and design services for a new campus fencing project for Coahoma Community College to increase the campus security and provide protected entry points along the perimeter of the campus. This project was completed through the MS Bureau of Buildings.

 

In it's pre-planning phase, this 36,000 square foot residence hall facility for Coahoma Community College was designed to house 120 rooms for the ever-changing and evolving student population. Each room is set to have a bathroom, personal storage accommodations in addition to living quarters. The facility will also include lounge areas, meeting rooms and computer labs.

The Hinds County Board of Supervisors have planned a groundbreaking ceremony for a new fire substation as part of the county-wide fire improvements project. Durrell Design Group was selected to design multiple fire stations across the County.

 

 

We are proud to share this great project on the HCC Utica Campus with the public at the open house for the recent renovation and addition of the H.H. Davis Building that houses the Cosmetology and Barbering Programs.

 

Durrell Design Group is proud to be selected as one of the firms to aid the Jackson Public School District with professional services related to the 2018 Bond Referendum. Select projects include improvements at 3 schools. 

 

 

The Student Athlete and the Family Enhancement (S.A.F.E.) Center had its ribbon cutting and grand opening Oct. 19 on Alcorn's main campus in Lorman, MS to mark the completion of a great project uniquely designed to serve student athletes in developing their leadership and cultivating their educational goals.
